Hey all -

I'm going to bend a really nice set of high-quilt maple, and I'm trying desperately not to screw it up. I'm using SS2, sprayed, dry overnight, wrapped in foil, and using the LMI bender. What temperature would you suggest the bend be at? I hear maple should go a bit hotter. I was thinking 325F for the waist (It's a tight-waisted OM) and 300 for the sides. Any thoughts? I couldn't find any specifics in a search.

Thanks in advance!

Eric

I bend quilted Maple regularly with no issues. Mist very lightly, wrap in foil, begin bending the waist at 250-275, complete bout and shoulder bend at 350 along with last 1/2" of waist. Let sit in bender at 250 for fifteen minutes to set the bend and leave until cold.
