Hey folks, I'm thinking of picking up this lil beauty for refurbishing. It's very old and needs lots of work, but has some killer mojo. BRW veneer back and sides laminated to spruce on the back, and possibly maple sides. Light as a feather and no identifying marks. Bridle jointed headstock (without volute) and the multi-layer binding that I know I've seen on this forum before. Also, the bridge is distinctive in design, so I'm hoping someone here who's more knowledgable than me regarding old, non-Martin parlors will take one look at it and immediately know the maker. I suspect German origin. I have an old guitar from the mid 1880's that has the same binding configuration. I am sure that David Laplante may have much more to offer.
Can you describe the braces or get a picture. Also a pic of the tuners.

Are these bar frets? Looks like it has been worked on some time in its history.

Considering its age, there's no doubt it's had lots of work done to it. The frets are tanged.

I didn't take a good shot of the tuners, dang it. Here's one that shows a little bit of them.

They appear to be original, and the buttons are bone, except for one, which is wood, and it appears to be very old as well.

I didn't take a look at the bracing, but the way the top is split up makes me think it may be fan braced as opposed to ladder, but that's just a guess.
