New record for me. The 5hp dust collector adds a little spice to the atmosphere. Thinking an air conditioner might be in the cards, but not sure how one could work in a recirculated air scenario...Image

I'm guessing that 33.4 isn't fahrenheit...

But of course you do. One day I hope to as well, but I need to figure out how to make it work with the rh which is more important than my comfort...

I quit working until fall. It's only 85 in my shop but I can't deal with the heat. Anything over 70 and I'm a sweaty mess. A year in Iraq didn't help.

The AC will condense the moisture out of the air as long as you do not have a lot of air coming in from outside. I have been running my AC to keep the RH down, got it down to 46% at 70 F. At work we knock the RH down by cooling and then heating up the air. Not particularly energy efficient but when you have a RH that you have to limit things to you don't worry too much about being green. A dehumidifier that people run does the same thing but the warm side of the coil radiates the heat back in the room. Mind you, you do have a good heat generating device as it is.

Well, I I is they need to have the heat vented outside, which makes me think it would have to draw untreated air in from somewhere outside...

Always a catch. On a smaller scale I recently directed my vacuum system's exhaust outside in my garage and it is cooler. But I don't build out there.

One room only. Your bracing room of course. Use a box A/C 6000 BTM should do just fine. I use mine to help control the RH. It keeps my shop at 50% all summer long, but I tend not to build much in the summer months...I know you can't do that though.

But wouldn't new untreated air need to come in to replace the hot air being vented outside, causing RH stability? Not quite sure how he systems actually work...
