I have a friend who purchased one of these on ebay and though I have not yet looked at it a local setup guy says it needs a neck reset. Does anyone know what the neck joint is on this guitar, I am thinking like a less paul or other Gibson electrics but I have not had the guitar on my bench yet.

I've always like those guitars. I have no idea about the joint except that it is a set neck but I'm surprised a solid body nylon string guitar would need a neck reset. has it been to hell and back or perhaps had some medium acoustic strings on it?

I have yet to see the guitar but trying to gather info for the owner so I can give him a good answer on what it needs. I have a feeling that it is not that bad, he is a very fussy player.

Like many Gibsons, Fred - you'll probably have to yank the fingerboard to look at the neck joint.
I am also skeptical about it needing a neck reset.
The ones I've worked on tend to have very high saddles, and a little off the bottom will fix it.

A regular of mine plays the steel string version of that guitar.....if it is built the same as that a neck set doesn't look like any fun. Not quite MK3 bad but right up there. The body is a semi hollow stacked nightmare of lots of spruce....
