Sandy is off to her class reunion so I'll be having a guitar builder get together on June 23rd.
I call it a "Loser Gathering" Chris Pile calls "Geezer Gathering''. (Come on Cris there were some one guys there)
We'll start about 11AM and go till who knows when.
It's just a bunch of folks standing around eating and talking about guitar building.
Last year there were 8 of use I think.
There will be something from the smoker, and some finger foods.
So mark your calendar, get your motel reservations and send me a PM if you need my address.

Ernie beat me to it! Need to bring anything? Food, work, books, scantily clad females, etc?

Okay, "Luthier Geezer Fest" it is LGF@LFK!
Bring whatever ya want it's all good.
Now I'm waiting to see how Chris talks "scantily clad females" into coming to "LGF@LFK"

Nobody "talks" them into coming. It takes wads of cash. And I have none. Remember the part about talk? That's how I know it takes wads of cash.

A big round of thanks to our host, Dave Rickard of Lawrence who cooked his butt off for us. We had a great afternoon of food and stimulating chat on a variety of subjects, not just luthiery. Ernie Kleinman proved to be a great source of inspiration and information, too. You're a mensch, Ernie! Ernie also provided a mean batch of homemade hummus, it was yummy.

If you didn't attend, you missed a GOOD TIME! Don't miss the next time (I'm hoping Dave sees fit to host us again).

Mucho tnx to dave for being an amiable host in beautiful Lawrence KS ,It truly was a wonderful geezer fest with only 3 senior OLFers attending, the weather was excellent . the food was super, and the animated conversation was enlightening to say the least . I am having a new large shop built in Guthrie OK , so any luthiers , amateurs or wannabes , who will be in the vicinity are welcome to attend our new location and hopefully we can create a roundtable for discussion for those who live in OK and the surrounding states of KS ARK TX and Mo.
