Often seen people here recommending Bob Smith's industries CA glue.
Anyone have experience of their Epoxy, do they have a good reputation?

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

I use theirs that I get from a hobby shop. Both the 10 min and 30 min types and have not had a problem. I have never used it for pore filling but plenty of other places.

I have been using the All Wood Epoxy for 14 years. Got it from LMI. No issues.
