After our discussion today at the roundtable I thought I'd share what I've been working on. Here are photos of the mini with walnut B&Ss, sitka top, with zebra binding, and muntenye OM, with florentine cutaway, arm bevel, and sitka top. They are hanging in my closet to cure. Once they are completed, I'll post photos.

The mini features a spalted maple rosette. The OM has a ring of color impregnated wood I cut from a pen blank in the rosette. The binding and arm bevel are EIR. There is also a blue purfling line that is hard to see in this photo.

The electric I'm working on is in the style of a G-bson Midtown. I'll probably call mine an "Uptown" 8-) It is like this carved top, except the top is flat.

Beautiful guitars Steve. A few more years or never and I'll get there.

Great work, Steve. The rosettes on both are beauties.

That transtint dye is pretty transparent,Steve. Nice. I can't tell the difference in guitar sizes. But I guess that all the extra length on the OM seems to be below the bridge. String scales don't change as body length changes.

I don't think that you need to fear varnish.
