In a Bushman Uke I own, the end jack is not in the end block, but down the bottom block at about 30-35 deg. Why? I am planning on installing a Matrix PU in a tenor uke I am finishing. Is this other location done to lessen torque on the user? (???)

Its probably just to make it a more natural angle for the cord. Like an electric guitar.

Thanks. I do not intend to do that. There is no wood save the side to support it. Perhaps the client can use a 90 deg jack.

That would be a logical solution. I've done that for years on my guitars.
