That's hot. In the summer anyway. In the winter it must be cold and more difficult to aim.

Not to side track the comedy and lack of caring, but I did some stuff and I figured I should post pics.
I did this:

because I found this:

which if cut right would make this:

So it looks like I am back in business once I make the three pieces into one soundboard. Now for a rosette and stuff.

Tell me, did you remove the old top by punching it in the face?

The first step towards getting help is admitting your problem Wud!

Yes, I punched it in the face but I didn't take a pic because I was all, "I'm Chuck Norris and I punch youth death!" so my hands were busy. You can see from the carnage that I punched its face good!!

And no redistribution of wood! Unless of course some really sweet sets come my way. But as far as ukulele punches redistributing the wood, I'm against that.

He's not giving anything away. That bottle is just camouflage. It is filled with his proprietary blend. I think it is made with dodo beaks, butterfly milk and unicorn farts (among other, more exotic, secret ingredients).

Since I was making a new top, I needed a new rosette. It had to be cheap so I took the center cut out of a walnut burl rosette and a piece of spalted maple I had in the scrap bin and joined them together.
Image

Then I cut mostly through and sand it from the back to pop it out in the drum sander:
Image

I installed it in the new top, made new braces from some scrap spruce, and glued the whole thing together. Here is where I am now (Titebond bottle is there purely for misdirection):
Image

A little more work and I will be back to finishing.

These are what were in the house. I didn't want to go back out to the garage and get more. They did the job. It's not collecting by the way. It is a passion!!

That rossette is almost enought to make me care. Isn't it nice when a mistake ends up making it better? Are you going to bind it?
