Where can I find them? I have a guitar repair I need to ship to Charlotte, in its case.

I went down to Guitar Center a few months ago when I had to ship a guitar overseas and they gave me 2 boxes.

Like Steve says, your local music shop is your friend here. If you have to buy some uline www.uline has them and about every other size box you possibly need.

Huh. You mean I can just take the guitar to the UPS store and they have a box I can put it in and then ship it?

I will call them.

For a fee. Fedex has similar service (Fedex Office/ Kinko's). I have not been that impressed with the boxes they use. In many instances, they have taped together big bulky boxes that don't seem all that safe to me. Plus, they almost always fill them with styrofoam peanuts, rather than using plastic bubble wrap or 'pillows'.
I would rather find a real guitar shipping box, or fabricate one from an appliance box (available free at my recycling center).

Yes Ups has boxes and they will pack it for you, I will not let them pack a guitar for me. A guitar in a case will fit in one. They are not the trapezoids that guitar shops get their instruments in, they look more like the ones my cases come in except they are not as heavy of a cardboard as the ones Ameritage uses. They were not cheap from what I remember, that's why I started saving all mine.

They are about $15 if I remember correctly. Decent boxes.

I get them from a local guitar shop. The Taylor Guitar boxes are especially nice - they have a support that holds the case in place. And I can tape over the part of the logo that says Taylor and write Conery.
