Over the summer, I sold one of my guitars to a gentleman I had never met before. He saw a build thread on the internet and sent me a message asking if the guitar was for sale or if it was spoken for. The original buyer had backed out, so I sold the guitar to David Arnn, a musician in North Carolina. He was very happy with the guitar when he bought it, and yesterday, he sent me this link to a song he wrote and recorded on my guitar. I am a very proud papa today. Please enjoy:

http://soundcloud.com/david-arnn/costa-wav

Here is the guitar and specs:
top--------------cedar
back and sides-- curly claro walnut
binding--------- curly Cuban mahogany
rosette----------Box Elder burl
Headstock ------EIR on the front, Macassar ebony on the back
side position markers are red recon-stone to match the rosette
the fret board is EIR, the bridge is ziricote. Yes, I know the wood choices are all over the place. But it seems to work.

Thanks everyone. I could not be more pleased with one of my guitars getting into the hands of a talented player. Sure beats the heck out of the videos I post!!

By the way, AlbDarned, I really like your new avatar pic. You sort of resemble Les Claypool and someone else...but I can't put my finger on it.

Gee thanks Tony ... who says I'm NOT Les Claypool & someone else?

You look pretty familiar too ... were we playing at that last Oktoberfest gig together?

We might have, but I had a bit too much "fest" and I can't remember much from that day.

Nice song. I remember that guitar, I love it. Personally I think you should send me whatever is left over from the burl you used for the rosette. Just pack it up and send it here you dont really need it anyhow laughing6-hehe It must be a great feeling to have such amazing music some from something you made. [:Y:]

That was a little disappointing. I was hoping to hear you sing one of your original songs.

Nice one. The WWW came through for you. And a fine job he's done with it. The guitar looks and sounds great. Very nice photos too.

Cheers,
Danny

Thanks everyone. I am really happy with how the guitar turned out. The owner felt he got a stellar deal based on the price he paid. I would much rather have him feel that way as opposed to feeling I ripped him off! Here's to my next being better then my last!

You guys don't want to hear Tony sing. Just take my word for it.

As long as he doesn't sing out loud, it isn't so bad. [:Y:]

Oh, I doubt he's that bad, but Tony, if you want to be in disguise I found these at the stationary store (of all places) and took the picture with you in mind....I don't really know why.
