Hello!I am building greek instruments like bouzouki...their bridge is not glued but movable...it is an archtop instrument so i would like to know if there is a simple -fase way or a jig to make the bridge fit absolutly to the top with no gaps...?here is a sample of the instruments :( :(

I find it hard to believe that a bridge with wings that long and thin is just loose, Would it not just buzz when played?
Anyway, perhaps this may be of some use

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
