This is a model 00C with Ziricote back & sides. The soundboard is West Virginian Red Spruce (Adirondack) from our field trip to Appalachian Tonewood.

The bridge, fretboard and binding are all ebony. The tuners are Gotoh mini 510 with ziricote buttons made by Charis acoustic.

The finish on the body is UV cured polyester and the neck is finished with Osmo PolyX.

I’ll share demo recordings next week when it gets back from the studio.

Any questions let me know. :)

Hello Brad,
I am not surprised by this guitar :D . It is like everything you showed us:
wonderful tonewoods, excelent craftsmanship (in my opinion you are a real artist in guitarbuilding!), everyone can see your love and passion for lutherie!
Thank you for sharing that! I'm happy every time I can have a look on your wonderful work, and that motivates me to improve my skills to reach your level one day in the future.
Waiting for how it sounds!

Juergen

A real stunner Brad this is one beautiful guitar. I love sapwood too since that's what the tree actually looks like so a double WOW on this one.

I like the simplicity, and that isn't easy to pull off. Adding the little white line around the sides and the bottom join isn't expected.

Beautiful work Brad, and god I love that ziri!

I've got some for future acoustic builds and have a couple electrics in the lineup I'm considering some ziri drop tops for for them.

Nice one Brad, looking forward to the video.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
