The 6X80 edge sander would be much handier. Get the one with the tilting table, not the one with the wraparound table.

Grizzly makes an 80" edge sander that has an optional radius-ing attachment for fretboards I've been eyeing. Have you looked at that one? Whole thing with radius jib is around 800.

I think that what it will come down to. The shopfox w1717 is pretty close, but I don't see it as being worth 600$. So I've had a crazy scheme, I'll post pics later....
