A Pandoras Box question.
What solvents do you use to clean your spray equipment and how to you dispose of the left over waste?

Hi Tom,

I mostly shoot waterborne topcoats, so warm water. I also shoot shellac which I make with grain alcohol, I use the alcohol to flush my guns - this I save for cocktails later that evening.

I clean the gun by spraying lacquer thinner through it after soaking the parts in thinner in the cup. I only do a full breakdown if the gun isn't spraying properly. Used thinner can be saved and used to strip finishes or clean up overspray. If I had to buy it I use it until it's used up. [:Y:]

I figure you clean with the solvent/thinner for the finish you are spraying, right? If I am spraying Royal Lac, I clean with alcohol. If I spray UV cured finish, I clean with acetone.
