The only negative I can say about a larger band saw is the need for a smaller one to do tight scrolling. Changing blades is a pain.

We have two little 10" saws for that, a Ryobi and a ROK. The ROK is actually a really good but small saw.

The Laguna gets a curve blade only when we get planks to cut neck blanks from...

To me they are two different tools. You can get there with both but to get where you are trying to go with a table saw using a band saw you are going to have to put in some extra work after you have made your cuts. I have the Bosch saw you put a photo up of and I love it. Was a trim carpenter and cabinet maker for years and used many different job site table saws and in my opinion the Bosch is by far the best. If you already have a band saw, even if it's not as great as you'd like I'd still go with a table saw and upgrade the band saw later. I use it constantly while making parts for guitars and especially making jigs to make the guitars. If floor space is a problem the Bosch can fold up and be rolled away or be built into a work table. Once you have a table saw to work with you'll be amazed that you've gotten so far with out one. Plus if you've just bought a house there are probably plenty of projects where a table saw will be really useful too.
