Hey Mike from Ottawa ... welcome from out Mississauga way !!!

when you reply ina thread, there should be a text box for typing in, then bleow that a box that lets you add a picture - filename .. you can browse you PC from there, and add it in.

for new topics, there is a small racetrack shaped icon up top (below all the advertisers stuff) with "new topic" in it - you click on that. infact, I see that its also beside the reply box below the last post in a thread too ....

It does have to be smaller than 256K in size, so if you need to resize it to post, get a copy of Windows Image Resizer, available free at Windows Power Toys.com

The system will let you post as many as 8 pictures per post. If you have more than that, you have to do multiple posts. Not a problem. Lots of us do that.
Click the "Browse" button under "Upload attachment", find the picture, click open in the dialog box, click "Add the file" next to the "Browse" button. Wait for the screen to refresh, then scroll down below the text entry window, and click "Place in line". It will put the image where ever your cursor was when you clicked "Place in Line". You can then, if necessary, move the image code anywhere you need to within the text.
