Here is a HHG toot and an OLF discussion that followed that may be helpful to some too:

Tony, great info and well written. Thanks for taking the time to post that.
Makes us all feel better about using HHG. Still like my fish glue for some things,
I never use anything but HHG for bridges, neck joints and top braces, seems like
it really excels in those areas.
Best
Bruce

I've found that if it gets hotter than about 160°F for any length of time, it seems to lose strength even after it cools back to a normal 145°. Excessive heat seems to weaken it.

I just want to thank you as well, Tony, for putting this together in such a concise manner.

I think that a Wiki is a good idea if it is not too much of a change in focus for our dear leaders :D and technically something that we could do. The management of it going forward is a big concern though - who is going to do it and who is going to do it into the future......

I'm all for it if you guys can muster the support to make it happen and keep on keeping on so-to-speak but my biggest concern is that the OLF does not become a place where askers of common questions are sent to the library, archives, or Wiki. The hallmark of the OLF to me has been the near-real-time helpfulness of the other members.

This personalized interaction is IMHO what makes the OLF special. For those in the forum biz it is pretty well agreed upon that info in and of itself is not the only and in some cases the primary attraction for a successful forum - the quality and friendliness of the community and it's willingness to openly share and assist is every bit as important.

Be careful what you wish for..........
