hi guys i was trying to look this up in archive but couldent find anything
im just starting to make a neck and top for back and sides i have

I want to make a fairly wide neck (6 string) for fingerpicking somewhere about the thickness
of a slim 12 string neck ...
I was playing a guitar with a 9.5" radious fretboard that i liked
but was wondering .......
With a wider neck and 9.5 radious would your bass string tend to flop off the fretboard ?
Is there a certain fretwire size that i should use to counter that ?
or would it be alot safer to go with a 10" radious
Thanks again..........

How much wider ??? .. an 1/8 inch ... should be good, so 9.5 will work fine. Going to 10 wont make any difference at all .. you need to go up to about 12 to actually see anything, the change is SOOOOO small.

As for fret wire, it wont make much difference to strings falling off - thats all in how you dress the frets (how much edge bevel) ,and where you cut the nut slots relative to the FB edge. Fretwire to me anyway, is all about playing feel ...
