EDIT: Doug got back with the info as I was typing! Anyway, delcamp is well worth regular visits if you are interested in classical guitars.

I do wish I could view the MIMF entry you linked to. For some reason it is down.

MIMF is only keeping posts for a month or two these days, after that, they are 'gone into the void', apparently.

Doug was smart enough to parallel post his build at delcamp, where you can read all the details.

We are working on getting the MIMF library working again and hope to have all of the expired discussions into the library in the near future.

Barry-
That's good to hear. [:Y:] Do you have a scheduled date for the re-posting?

Is this a software problem (software database has upper limit on active discussions??) ? ?I can't imagine that storage can be an issue with current prices so low. You could probably put the entire MIMF website on a memory stick.

Why not just let the list of discussions grow, without worrying about putting things into the 'Library' ?

I recall reading that a re-write of the software was required to save the posts, but that was a year (or more) ago.

It certainly does make me think twice about going to the trouble of taking pictures and posting, if the online lifetime of the stuff is only a couple of months.
I miss being able to refer back to other builders' stuff at MIMF- I wasn't smart enough to save copies of the threads I liked. It was a great resource.

Cheers
John

Are you worried about the stain wearing off of the fingerboard?

No, its sealed under a few coats of CA, and maybe something else too. It plays very clean.
