Hi all. For those of you that make your own gobars from strips of wood, I was wondering what dimensions you try to shoot for. I've seen some pictures on here that look like some use about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick by 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide strips of oak. It's hard to estimate the true dimensions from the pictures though. Thanks.

I use red oak and make them 1/4" x 3/4" and 4' longer than the distance between decks. That's worked well for me.

I think he means 4" longer than the space between the decks. 4' is gonna be dangerous! wow7-eyes
