I hate making necks, either guitar or banjo necks, so I usually buy a neck blank and go from there. I've got a Hanalei Moon standard neck that I bought in the spring saleathon but I want a 12 fret slot head neck. I'm thinking of getting one done by Hanalei Moon. A five piece neck which includes truss rod, bolt on hardware and neck block for about the same price as the LMII or StewMac naked neck blanks. About $160 to $170.
I know. If I carved my own (and I have), it would cost about a third of that, but I'm lazy. Instant gratification!!

Anybody recommend anyone else that makes good necks?
