Each time I see this commercial for GE AND Taylor Guitars I absolutely love it! [:Y:]

The coolest thing about it beyond the fact that it's pretty cool to watch where it's filmed at Taylor and the story line which is kind of cheesy... is that it's about a partnership between two companies. Both companies, Taylor and GE realize that their success if somewhat intermingled so hence this commercial.

Anyway it's cool to watch and I wonder if Bob is actually out on the floor very much in reality - anyone know?

Thanks for looking! :)

Hesh: Certainly don't know for sure but have never seen him dressed in shirt and tie with a business suit. Not your typical BOSS type man. Appears to be very much a blue collar walk the talk type of leader who revels in presenting new ideas and discussions in regard to his guitars and how they are built. I would think that he would roam the floor as much as he could given what else he most likely has to handle. Nice to see you again and hope all is well with you and yours.
Tom

Hi Tom! :) I hope that you are well too.

All's great here and thanks for asking.

Admittedly I'm a bit biased but some of GE's commercials have been pretty good. My favorite is the "Catch The Wind" commercial with a resurrection of Donavan's tune.

I attended an event in late March that had Bob Taylor in attendance as a clinician if you will. While I don't know for a fact, my sense is that while he runs the show at Taylor his focus is on product development. He seems to keep pulling winners out of his hat. The 8 string baritone is very cool. Now the GS mini. Can't wait to see what's next. He is a very dynamic guy, has a lot of presence I think.

He actually talks quite a bit about what he does on the FBJ podcast. It sounds like he is absolutely involved with the manufacturing process and that is his passion, but he is phasing himself out of the day to day decision making.

You should check out the pod cast. He seems like a neat guy.

Contrasting the 2 companies recently was interesting to me. While Bob Taylor was in Iraq and Afghanistan supporting our troops, GE settled a bribery with Iran charge with the SEC for $23 million...pocket change indeed.

Kudos to Bob Taylor!
