When cutting binding/purfling channels on my flamenco build the oil from the bearing got into the binding channel and on one of the sides (cypress). How to get rid of it? just scrape it away? I'm not sure how deep into the wood the oil got and I'm afraid that the glue will not hold on oil...

I just had the same thing happen, using my new set of Stew Mac bearings. I used lacquer thinners & several paper towels. Fingers crossed that it's not going to be a problem once I start finishing.
From now on, I'm gonna run any unused bearings on scrap for a couple of minutes & clean them well, before getting them near a guitar!
I have used a fabric cleaning trick to remove oil from sail cloth & it occurs to me, it might work on wood. Pack some corn starch onto the affected area. The starch absorbs oil very effectively. You will still want to wipe down with an aggressive thinners & seal well with shellac before finishing.
If the shellac sticks OK, the finish should not be affected.

Naptha will remove oils.
I have no idea if you can get it where you live.
Also where gloves-it's a coaltar byproduct !

Naphtha has many names all over the world for exactly the same product. The table at the attached link may be useful for you to establish what the product is called in or around your own country.

Thanks, guys - that's exactly what I needed to know. Daniel - exactly, my new set of Stew Mac bearings caused the trouble.
I'll use the naphtha to clear the stains. Kim, that link is amazing! Apparently they call naphtha "Technicky benzin" around here I was pretty sure, but it's good to have it confirmed.
