If you're just after some quick & nasty front and back shots, the sawed-off guitar stand works fine ... just saw the cradle forks shorter and epoxy the cradle if it's the kind that swivels ... saw the main verticle support and epoxy a block with high density neoprene padding (it grips the guitar back well without marking). I've photo'd everything from frailing banjos to vintage strats to the 52-string Manzer Medusa on this one.
