I want to extend a special Thank You to Steve and his assistant Ryan for taking time out of their day to critique one of my recent guitars. I really appreciate his very experienced eyes and ears and he graciously shared many things that I'm sure will make me a better builder. It's people like Steve and Ryan that make being a part of the guitar building community such a wonderful experience.

Chuck

Hey Chuck, thanks amigo.
Let me just say, when Chuck asked to bring by a guitar to be critiqued, I wasn't prepared for the beauty he pulled from the case.
Holy cow, it sounded fantastic. I even thought to myself that it's time to start building dreadnaughts. It was that nice. So, good job Chuck!

Kim, thanks so much mate. I'll for sure see that my wife reads this modest appraisal of her hubby.

Mike, careful dude... here in Texas we don't take lightly such an affrontive.

You guys are too kind, you know....

Steve

Chuck,

Thanks for stopping by. It was good meeting you and checking out your guitar. Beautiful instrument with a good sound. You should be proud. Hope to see you around or at GAL.

Ryan

Saying nice stuff about Steve is pretty darn easy. I am fortunate to be able to call him a good friend.
Best

Actually Steve's been the bane of my life now for about the last seven years (is it really that long Steve) every time I post a new instrument, you just know he's going to pop up and say nice things about it and its builder, I mean nice things, when really I'm just after some honest, shoot from the hip down to earth criticism (hands up anyone who actually believes that).

I'll drink a toast to him tonight, any excuse.

Colin

Colin, the day you post junk, I'll let you know.
Till then, as far as I can tell, it's fair sailing.
Well, other than your choice of top wood....

[uncle]

Toasted with some of my 2002 bottled 20year old Talisker Sherry cask malt. Probably the greatest malt whisky ever made. No more than Steve deserves (as I said, any excuse!)

What, no Edradour?

Either way, I'm honored! (I've just gotta get over to Kent....)
