Nick, I was working on the fingerboard after gluing it on, and got into the top. I then had to sand the top down to get rid of the groove. If you look at that picture, you can see that the board is sitting on a little strip of white spruce, which is where I sanded it down. Minor issue structurally, as there's a neck patch under there and the top is nearly 3 mm thick at that point.

Mike, the wide purfs are Sycamore. I love the way it looks. Very natural, but with something going on. It's good for folks that don't want wheat or blocks and stuff like that. I'm going to use radial Zebrawood on #9.
