For those of you who pore fill with pumice without adding any shellac other than the spit coats already on the guitar: Do you use a prepared muneca that already has shellac inside, or do you start out pore filing with a "fresh/ dry/ shellac free" muneca and load with only alcohol and pumice? Thanks, Wendy

I don't even use a muneca. Just a wad of muslin with alcohol and pumice. It wears through layers so fast, I'd hate to think of changing covers that often.

I just use a dedicated dry wool wrapped with linen to disperse the pumice and alcohol on to for porefilling changeing the linen often as it wears through from the pumice. The spit coats should be enough shellac to do the process of filling the pores. I never use the same pad i porefilled with to french polish.
