It seems like typical guitar plans don't have the side template... Why is that?

It's simple once you have a mold and sanding dish.
Does anyone have a list of which plans have a side template and which don't?
Stewmac OM kit does
Kinkead book doesn't
Willis book doesn't

I have the Stewmac MJ plans with the side profile. The SJ and OOO plans has it as well.
