Yes, Tony, a fabulous milestone and a wonderful instrument. I, personally, cannot possibly live long enough to achieve a similar milestone at my rate of production. With utmost respect and no envy whatsoever, my hat is OFF TO YOU! Keep them coming!

Again, thanks to all for the kind words. Its very humbling, as I regard you all as friends and fellow artists, with great achievements in your own right, whether its your first effort (we all started somewhere) or your 20th, or 200th (there are those among us that I aspire to as well).

It never ceases to amaze me the clever and ingenious ideas folks here continue to come up with ... I am still a student, the pursuit continues !!!

Here is wishing everyone a Happy Holiday, and a very properous, joyful New Year full of peace and many wonders .... signing out for today, I have to wrap !!!!

As the Don would say, though I can't say it quite as eloquently as he,

"dang".

I will add that your take on the arm bevel is one to raise eyebrows...really creative.

Dang.

And what an instrument to commemorate #100! That could be nicer than your last. It is beautifully appointed. Just out of curiosity, I know you've done at least 2 harp guitars and one baritone ;) . What else has made its way into the 100?

Congratulations Tony and a very Merry Christmas to you!

All the Best,
Danny

Wonderful achievement, Tony, and excellent craftsmanship as usual. Love the top. No cellulite. May I ask where you got it?

Hi Ken, Danny,

Ken - the top came from Maurice Roy (I think he is on Ebay as Maurice Contracting) a couple years ago - he had an order for double bass tops, and took the time to take out an extra chunk to cut harp tops. He has red cedar and yellow cedar as well, but sells alot of sitka, and plenty of bearclaw. The wood is all downed trees .. he doenst cut anything thats still standing. He is on the Queen Charlotte Islands, in BC, and usually shows up at the Montreal show, where I first met him.

Danny - well, in that 100 there are two harps, one double neck acoustic 6/12, approx 10 electrics, about a dozen or so multiscales, 7 or 8 baritones, one a multi, then a host of single 0, 00, lots of OMs and Signatures (my 16 inch shape), 3 or 4 traditional jumbos and then a bunch of my Solo jumbo shape. Only one nylon, a crossover style, one 12 string, and one was a removable neck acoustic, with two necks - one made it a 12 fret guitar, the other a 14 fret baritone - my take on a voyageair, with a twist. Tommy Emmanuel played that one live a couple times.

The next ten are quite interesting too .. 3 harps, 2 more doublenecks, a les paul/PRS style, a J45, and possibly a couple 7 string multiscale baritones ... never boring !!!

Merry Christmas Dave,

A couple things I remember, (you probably dont !!!) at the 12th fret when you were still working there. I walked in one day, guitars 9 and 10 in hand, hoping to get one into the best shop in town. You had said that you had too many on the floor as it was , but you would like to see what I had brought in. You thought the action on the cutaway guitar was too high, and I asked what kind of setup should I be aiming for - I still use those numbers from that advice to this day (4.5 and 6/64ths for those who need to know). You also were intrigued as to what the top was - it was a curly redwood top - you had never seen one before !!!

On another occasion, Paul White and I walked in with a couple guitars, and you again said that you really shouldnt take any more guitars in on consignment, but you'd take one of mine (huge ego shot !!! thanks). I will never forget that. To be blessed with encouragement, and the ability to deal with understanding people a great local guitar shop that gets excited when a local builder walks in with a case in hand makes the pursuit of a dream reality.

Just goes to show - aim high - anything is possible.

What a fine looking instrument! I would like to add my congratulations to the rest.
Stunning work!
I had the chance to play one of your guitars at a pub jam in Orangeville a few years back.
It felt & sounded just as good as it looked. A real inspiration.
I'm so grateful that you & others with your level of experience & expertise (not to mention artistry) find time to post here.
So... Thanks eh! To you & everyone else who shares their hard earned knowledge & inspiration here.
Best of the season to all.
Dan

Beautifully flawless. Looks like #1,000 instead of #100.
