Love the quilt maple Brad. Very nice! How's the acoustic sound?

Very curvy, very nice wood selection, very nice realization of all the visual potential of those woods, very VERY nice all the way around. There's an interesting visual thing going on here. Somehow, (I guess due to the overall shape), this guitar looks like it must surely be bigger than a 16-inch instrument. Optical illusion I guess. Nevertheless, a nice effect. Congratulations! I am such an archtop fan. Nothing does it for me like a nice archtop.

Darrel,
The acoustic sound is really nice- it's loud and has a really nice "throaty" voice. I have it strung with D'adario meds. (13-56) which are brighter than the typical nickel strings. Most Jazz purists prefer nickel or flatwounds on them. So far I have only played my usual ragtime and blues which sounds fine-but I need to get it to my Jazz playing friends for the true test-but I know they will love it.

Actually it measure 16-1/4"- and this particular guitar is 3-1/4" deep ( I usually make them 3" deep)

As far as the shape, it is my own version of an old Epiphone (Spartan) pattern.
