I also finally got the finishing touch for my mili-tele. Someone from the AGF sent me a couple of .50 cal brass so I could finally make my knobs. As I said on the thread in the electric forum, they're not perfect, but nothing on this guitar is :P . I ended up using a JB Weld stick to fill up the brass. It seemed to work ok, but I think there's gotta be something better out there.

My parents bought a house when I was 14. The fellow before was quite a workshop guy. 2 years after we bought the house it hit us that the drawers on the bench were marked Global "Explo" "sives" between two drawers. So cool. You need something like a C4 switch for a guitar effect ;)

Doug,

I love to see the progress on your canoes. Keep those coming as regular parts of your updates.

There is some outstanding work by everyone in this thread. I love to see the progress that is made by everyone as these threads pop up over the weeks.

I built a cart for my drum sander this week. I built this with the idea that having some new shelves will help kick of some much needed shop organization.

That may happen. laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe

Arnt - I am always impressed with your work when you post it. It's consistently simple, elegant and classy. Very appealing to my eye. Thanks for sharing.

I could not agree more. Stunning, Arnt.

Three size 2's going to finish. I start # 50 next, still deciding what to do for that one.

Awesome stuff everyone!!! I've got to make a different stand for my drum sander too, so it has more utility versus the basic stand it came with.

I put in a pick up and strap button in The Celtic Beauty and polished up the frets. It's going to a friend for recording this evening.

And I just finished up #10 a couple weeks ago, did the final tweeking today. It's also going for recording this evening. Real pictures (my wife's) will come later this week.

[quote="jason c"]Hey Aaron, I really dig that end graft.

Thanks Jason. It was the first time I'd tried something like that. It wasn't too difficult, and I was really happy with the way it turned out.

Beautiful, inspiring work, all. Todd: That beautiful, purple-ish-red archtop in your attachments....is that the Eastman? The color is exactly what I was trying to describe about six weeks ago in my "Gibson wine red" inquiry.

As for me, I glued the first braces to a mandolin top yesterday. Nothing exciting to show yet.

As always, so much beautiful work! I never get tired of the awesome bookmatches.

Finishing off French polish and drilling registration pins to locate the bridge. So close to being done!

Thanks, Todd. I'm calling it done now. The knobs were the finishing touch I was waiting on...

Ok, mostly done. I still need to cut a new nut for it, but other than that... :D
