Any ever build with a redwood top and maple body? I read somewhere that the old Gibson Nick Lucas with a maple body sound really good. I was thinking of building a 00 12 fret with this combo. Any experience on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sean

I made a small jumbo sized redwood/hard maple guitar. It has a nice vintage sound. The redwood has a little more headroom than cedar and hard maple has a little more ring than soft maple.
