Please don't blame Tony for the tacky design, but he gets all the credit for the flawless execution of the tacky design. Incredible work from a talented and reliable finisher. Super nice man as well!

Details for this OM are:
Mesquite back and sides
Bearclaw Sitka Top
5 piece mesquite / mahogany neck
Ebony headplate / fingerboard / bridge
Cocobolo binding
Mesquite Burl end graft
B-Band pickups

Mesquite and Coco were from local suppliers, all else thanks to RC Tonewoods!

It came out sounding pretty clean. A nice warm tone to it. Not as bright as my walnut guitar of basically the same design, but still sounds good. At least that's what I think.
The new owner is one happy redneck, (being one, I can say that), and now that he has a guitar he is looking forward to learning how to play!
I spend a lot of time lurking and learning here, so thanks to all who share. Once I find some wisdom, I will be sure to pay it back!
Thanks for looking,

Donald

Very nice. That mesquite looks great.
I like the color on the top. Looks kind of soft and sun-faded like an old flag

If you grew up in Texas you have to smile -- outstanding - Mesquite should be the state tree. [clap]

Thanks to all for the kind words. I love working with mesquite.

Quine - the pictures just don't do the color justice. I can't stress enough how much I think of Tony's color work and finishing. I was thrilled as was the new owner.

Mkellyvrod - its not the state tree????? I need to make some phone calls and get that fixed! :D
