For any who might be interested, my website and associated email will close down circa mid September as I continue to wind down the business side my shop.

I don't want to proliferate my new email for obvious reasons, but you can still PM me through this Forum and I'll get back to you.

Thanks for all the years of guitar talk!

Hank

Good luck Hank. Keep posting occasionally if the muse strikes.

Wind down the business side, but not the building side.
That has the faint sound of enjoying the work more!

What's next, a return to racing, perhaps?

I wish! No, the racing days are over. Had 20+ great years until the level of aggression went up in the newby drivers who thought there was something to prove by winning a "vintage" car race. I take my Lotus 7 out on the country back roads in the Sierra foothills in good weather and get it sideways occassionally. bliss

As for building...we'll see. Right now parental care is taking much of my time and 5 grandkids and all their activities take most of the rest!<g> For everything else there is MasterCard........

I am slowly disposing of my 40+ years collection of wood...will probably keep enough in case one of the grandkids gets serious about guitar playing, then I'll build them one.

In the few conversations I've had with Hank he has truly been a stand up guy, I'm sure the forum will miss you. But it sounds like you are making a good decision and your heart is in the right place.

Enjoy the family :)

Joel.

Your input will be sorely missed - by me and everyone else - but you gotta take care of family and yourself - behave and enjoy....

Hank, I hope you know how much we all appreciate you and your terrific lutherie career, as well as the contributions you've made here. I hope you continue to have opportunity to hang out here and contribute to the knowledge base of the next generation of luthiers.

Blessings on you!

Don
