I just took the finish off of one of my early EM 6000 guitars.
Broken weld on the truss rod..... (aagrh)
I used Circa 1850 furniture stripper....
The finish came right off using a credit card as a scraper....
Low odor, needs ventilation, but don't get any on ya.....

It was a 1/4" double-action with the flat bar on top from one of our major suppliers.
There was exactly zero penetration on the weld.
I always test before install for functionality - now I think I will test between two large chunks of wood for strength....
