does this mean there will be some beautiful pernambuco in the room? :)

Zeke, it could certainly be arranged bliss I have two completed guitars built with Pernambuco back and sides, as well as another 7 nicely quartered back/side sets and 6 neck blanks! I guess you could say I have a thing for Pernambuco! idunno

I'm bringing my latest which is a 28 inch baritone strung Pat Metheny style with the third and fourth strings up the octave. What an amazing sound.

I'm bringing the flat top mando from the last challenge. I may also be bringing an the L-00 that was no quite finished last year. I'll have to see if I can get it back from my brother for the day. It has been getting some fairly regular giging and is nicely reliced already.

But Tony, it's practically down the street from your house. Can't you sneak away for a few hours? Pick Birko up on the way.

Worth a try, I know many New Yorkers make the trip to St. L. for the world class shopping. He'd be better off seeing if she would be interested in seeing real baseball.

I was just about to update this thread and remind everyone that there is parking in the back fenced in lot. We Will try to make it clear where to park, you shouldn't miss it.

I may still wear the orange vest though. Zeke, you may want to be careful. I know you have a bad case of WAS; you just might pass out when you see the room filled with back and side sets. Luckily there will be a discount the day of the show.

Can't wait to see all of you!

Bryan, do we know what the discount Hibdon's is going to be offering is yet, or will that be a game day decision by them?

 I'll probably be coming home with a pile of Spanish cedar necks, and either one of those one-piece mahogany backs that are too expensive to ship, or if I go crazy, one of those mottled Honduran rosewood sets.

Things are looking reasonably hopeful for getting my harp guitar strung up in time, although my dad has a cold and thus depending on how well my germ avoidance techniques work, that could result in another last-minute bail. I have one more binding strip to glue, then the fingerboard, and then tomorrow sand the radius and install frets. I'll have some other stuff in any case, but harp guitars are hard to come by so hopefully I can get it ready and convince a few of you to try building them :D

Hope to get in on some jams as well. I've never really done it before so I'll probably just throw off everyone else's rhythm, but it always looks like a lot of fun :)
