I think for a little while my guitars will have to be considered mostly complete as I find I lose interest (and skill) in getting them super shiny and complete and this design was another proof of concept in a way. It's the same basic dimensions as the previous 'O' sized guitar here viewtopic.php?f=10101&t=40092

The upper waist is missing obviously and it's a bit surprising to me that it plays completely out of the way while sitting but gets in the way a bit when slouching ( I do a lot slouching) on the couch.

It plays very smooth and redwoody, with more bass than the original double waisted version, but not as loud. The bracing was cut down a LOT from the pics shown and if I build another I'll lessen the bracing even more as there's no sign of movement at all and it seems the design, without a sound hole in the normal location, is inherently much stronger than a typical design, but that's really just conjecture on my part.

I've got 4 sizes I'm testing now and would like to try all the sizes in this configuration (even up to a grand auditorium 16 x 20 size) to see effect there is on the sound. Those will all be Lutz and Mahogany so I can eliminate some variables.

Thanks you guys. As I look back I see that I really did a lot of the blingy stuff to assure myself that I could still do it.

For some reason I've switched modes into super simple so I can get a few more guitars under my belt to understand design a little better. Funny thing happens once you get started though, "What if I (insert crazy new thought here) and off you go into blingland.

Really like the inlays, and the bloodwood binding job is outstanding.
