For those of you who will be attending the A.S.I.A.
Symposium and who are interested in the classical
guitar, I will have a number of guitars made by the noted New York City Luthier Manouk Papazian with me and available for sale.
Papazian produced very fine instruments in New York from 1956 to his retirement in 1981. Artists who used his guitars ranged from Duane Eddy to Noel Paul Stookey (Peter, Paul and Mary)
as well as Sharon Isbin and John Holmquist.
Papazian held a number of guitars back to finish out and sell during his retirement and these are the last unsold ones of that group.
They are complete including finish, bridges mounted, frets installed.
Because these guitars will require basic luthier skills (nuts, saddles, tuners mounted) to get them up and running I felt it appropriate to offer them to the A.S.I.A. attendees.
The finish on these appears to be a shellac based spirit varnish and will need final leveling with 800 grit paper as well as final polishing, cleaning of frets and fretboard as well as set up.
All are solid wood smaller body (Hauser size) guitars with 650mm scale with a traditional 7 symmetrical fan pattern.
Woods incude a solid "Swiss" spruce top (some show Hazelficte figure) with Pau Ferro (Bolivian Rosewood) back and sides, Ebony fretboard and Brazilian rosewood headplate, bindings and bridge. Price on these is $900.00 (cash and carry).
I'll have a completed and strung example with me so folks can get a good idea of the high quality of these guitars.

I also have a couple sets of the original Kolb tuners that I will include with these:
