I just bought a new computer. i thought I might relegate my old one to the shop, and use it for some acoustic analysis maybe if I can ever get that far. So...

Before I take this thing off-line, i was wondering if there is any free software I can download for instrument work. I have Audacity. Is there anything else anyone can recommend?

Thanks,

google "signal generator" - there are a couple of free ones out there you might want, just can't remember the name of the one I have on my laptop.

I use freeware Visual Analyzer - i have Audicity as well but found VA works really well.
Trevor Gore has an online tutorial on how to set it up for guitar work on his website...

You can go to http://www.speech.kth.se/software and get 'Wavesurfer'.
