We are getting into full swing here for this years show and assembly . We will be meeting again with our Gracious host and Sponsor Hibdon Hardwood In St Louis Mo. Saturday May 24th 9:00 am till 4:00 pm (ish ) We have two Demos already in the Planning . ( 1 ) Chris Ensor will be doing a Progressive arm Bevel demo . And ( 2 ) Chris Oliver will be doing a steam neck removal for a neck reset . We are also working on # ( 3 ) A sunburst demo as well . I will update as we get further along .

We have sent out 50 invites thus far and would LOVE to have more . If you would like to be added to the email list send me an pm or email and I will gladly do so . last year we had 16 or so tables set up and had a great time . I would love to see the number hit 20 this year .

The show is $20.00 to register a table , 3' x 6' and $10.00 for a guest or any who wish to come and look around see demos etc: The money we collect pay for the tables and chairs " yes we are remembering chairs this year " and lunch and drinks for the registered people . This also covered the wages for a man to watch the cars for us in the parking lot . When we ended this last show we were approx $30.00 in the black " I think " . Point is the money is strictly for making our show a success .

I'll be there!! Don't know if I'll be bringing anything or not. Depends on if I have anything in the works and if I can find a way to carry it on a motorcycle.

It was a great time last year and I encourage anyone who can to attend.

I'm still miffed that Jim wouldn't let me do the "Mashing Unruly Builds With A Big Hammer" demo last year.

Alright, I'll help but you gotta' let me wear a badge.

One of the things I always hate about the show is the end. I have fun mingling with everyone and seeing all the cool stuff then, all of a sudden, everyone leaves. In the past a couple of us have kicked around the idea of getting dinner or drinks afterwards but it never pans out. Part of the issue is no one wants to leave their instruments in a car while we hang out. Folks could drop stuff off at my house for safe keeping if they would like, though I don't live super close to Hibdon/downtown. If anyone is interested extending the social aspect of the show into the evening bring it up here.

Hi Everyone,

I've been talking to Jim Lindley about an idea for the upcoming get together & today I spoke with Jerry Hibdon & got the okay from him.

We are thinking of adding a swap meet element to the show. If you have tools, jigs, etc. that you no longer use and that someone else might find useful, bring them along and wheel and deal. We appreciate the folks at Hibdon's generosity, therefore no instrument wood would be allowed for sale or trade.

If we do go ahead with this idea, we could post here on facebook what we would be bringing so folks will have an idea of things they are interested in.

We'd like to hear suggestions and ideas for this. Do you like the idea, or not?

Bump. The show is getting closer and there are fewer registrations than we would like. I know from organizing last year that people tend to wait until the last min. to register. I get it, I just got around to today myself. BUT, it does really help the organizers a lot if they have a good idea of how many people to expect (sooner rather than later). One of the aspects of this years show is we are having a swap and trade table for people who may have a jig , tool , etc: they are interested in parting with . Suggesting that for the first time limit it to one or two items each. NO WOOD !! That wouldn't be kind to our gracious host .

I have to believe that there are more on olf around the St.Louis area that could Join us . Please think about it . Would love to see you.

It's 5 hrs for me and I went last year. This year I'm moving and will be at least 6 hrs away but would still like to go. Dunno if the schedule will allow being mid move. But I'll be there next year if I don't make it to this one.
