Hey Brad, Glad to see you got your video's posted. I am not exactly sure why the Youtube button doesn't remove that s in the https address but if it is there it will only post the link. But it is a simple fix if you know about it.

Boy that guitar sounds great! I love the delta blues sound that ladder braced guitars have and yours sounds and looks great. I have been just learning how to finger pick in that style so I really appreciate hearing you.

Cheers,
Bob

Hey Karol, do you even own a tie beehive

Brad, sweet sounding guitar and love the ragtime tunes!! The guitar has an interesting sound, is it the ladder bracing that does that?

Yes, The sound of the ladder bracing is "different" than X braced guitars. I have to agree with Haans that I prefer it to the X now after making a bunch of them- at least for this type of music.

Brad, thank you for that explanation, I've never heard a ladder braced guitar before. It sounds a bit like a resonator guitar but with more warmth. (BTW: Tony and I are good buds....so the shot that appeared inappropriate was well placed :-) )

I figured that Anthony.

It's funny you said it sounds like a resonator because the new owner described the sound as between a flattop and a national (resonator).

Cheers,

Hi Ed,
I got it from Warmoth. They are one of the few places that have it. It is very expensive. I beieve I paid $17 per 54" X 1/4" X.080 long strip. so $68. for a guitar plus shipping. I also get the big sheets for the pikguards, head veneers and heel caps from them.

It is celluloid nitrate, not acrylic or PVC.
