My main body shape, the Odalisque, is inspired by my beautiful wife's body -- strong, medium width shoulders (upper bout), tight, slender waist, and a full, shapely lower bout. She, and the guitar, are proportionally enticing, and both sing beautifully...

Good question Nigel. Some of the answers, oh my, oy vey. When I first started building I made a list of the specifics I felt were aesthetically displeasing with the quintessential guitar. Subsequently, I personally will only be doing elevated fretboards in the future. I find the neck dying into the body and the skinny little fretboard overlaying it pathetically unsightly and frankly ugly. And as form follows function, many common failures begin with this oversight. Bridges also make me cringe, the classical world which I usually regard, is terribly out of tune here visually. Most of these bridges look like a postage stamps from God knows where. I think somewhere the cool people were influenced by some bad religion.
