Any of my Seattle friends interested in participating in the bulk order of D'Addario strings? I like the EJ16 phosphor bronze lights okay and wouldn't mind accumulating a decent-sized stash, but 144 sets is a bit much for me to take on single handedly.

Lemme know,

Hi George
I'm not in Seattle but am interested in splitting an order. It would require extra shipping to SF bay area. I posted the same request under Lances thread, which he may bump out. If you have enough people for your group. no worries.

Tim

Michael and Tim,
Thanks for your replies. No other interest shown yet, so this Seattle order may not get off the ground. We'll just have to wait and see.

George, I can take a dozen of the gross. Hard for me to take many more than that.

John

Last I heard, people were ordering them directly and smaller quantities for nearly the same price. Anyone remember?

Thanks, guys. I don't know about any bulk order beyond the one Lance is organizing. To participate in Lance's buy we need to share 144 sets. I believe all the sets have to be of the same type of strings. As I noted originally, I'm interested in the EJ16 PB lights.

Michael wants EXPs, so I'm leaving him out for now. (Tim L, see below.)

So, assuming everyone else wants EJ16 PB lights, here's the tally I see in this thread so far:

George - 24 sets
John - 12 sets
Pat - 24 sets

That's 60 sets. Not quite halfway to a full gross.

If we get another 3 or 4 folks from the Seattle area to take 2 dozen sets, we're good to go. Anybody out there? Come on, people. There's no point in building a guitar if you're not going to put strings on it! :D

Tim L - My goal is to keep the distribution of these sets to a one time meet up here in the Seattle area, but if you want all of the remaining 84 sets, I'd be willing to seal the box back up and send it off to you in SF. You'd need to pay the shipping, of course.

Seattle luthiers group meets next week. Anybody going? Might be able to pitch the idea therr. I would probably lean toward the coated strings too.

Pat

Are you interested in splitting an order of EXP16s?

I'm in Ballard 4 days a week, working on my daughters house.

Best, M
