I think I recall a thread from quite some time back regarding how to make the tips of plastic pipettes smaller for introducing CA to very tiny cracks/spaces. Anyone have the information or a link to the thread?

Thanks,
Max

Hi Max. Todd posted something about that. I'm pretty sure he just stretched the tips out with a pair of pliers.

That's right, James. Pair of pliers or with your fingers. Stretch it out, and re cut the tip.

I heat with a lighter for a couple of seconds to soften and then just pull out until you've got the required diameter ,let it harden up and then snip of the end. Roby.

I use a match and hold the pipette above the flame and as it starts to soften I pull the pipette to stretch it out. You can make them very small. I roll the tube as it heats you will see it change to a more clear plastic and them gently pull . cut with a razor blade and presto
