looks like an old Stella my dad gave me that was the first guitar I played. Painted rosette and binding?

A Waterloo.

Ed's got it, nice going.

These are made by Collings and a superbly built in Austin, TX and a very close to the original reproduction of vintage Kalamazoo version of the L-OO. Gibson made the Kalamazoos very much like the L-OOs. Interesting the name Waterloo and Kalamazoo both end in oo and this is a copy of a L-OO. Clever!

I'm very impressed by this guitar and here are some of the things that I see:

1) Ladder braced

2) no pore filling, just like the originals

3) ebony nut, bone saddle

4) vintage tuners, Stew-Mac golden age, very nice tuners

5) HHG used throughout just like the originals only the workmanship is MUCH cleaner, squeezeout has been cleaned up, etc.

6) vintage and accurate pick guard

7) it sounds like a million bucks, I want one!

8) it DOES have an adustable truss rod - a good thing

9) through saddle, individually compensated for each string, better than the original

10) the fret work is superb and even the ends have been very well done

11) clearly has that ladder braced tone, very nice, very vintage

12) unslotted pins!!!!! just like the original

13) I'm told these sell for $1,800 on the street - great value if you are into this kind of thing.
