Holy cow. Your guitars all seem to come from future. Amazing work!

To hear such high praise from this group is of builders simply humbling. Thanks everyone. Someone mentioned the AGF forum... Are any of you on the Acoustic Guitar Forum, and would you recommend being on there to help with ideas or to drum up business?

You will do just fine. You are building exactly what they want.
Was too brutal for me...I'm out of it all anyway and never built any of that stuff.

There are a lot of people that seem mainly to be collectors but they tend to value Martin/Taylor. Not too long ago I saw someone get talked out of a luthier built instrument. I think they wanted a Dsomething like guitar and the concensus was that Martin has been doing Dsomethings for a long time and have the process down cold. Mind you the same people (in the very next thread) will tell you that you need to play 10 to 20 Dsomethings to find the one you like because they are all different coming 'off the line'. idunno

In short the money is there and it depends on how much time you have to spend per sale I guess. There seem to be a couple luthier's there that have built up a reputation but I don't know if it translates to sales for them. I still peruse the headings but barely click on a topic now days. Lots of repeated threads.

Chris, That's a beautiful instrument, It'd be nice to hear a recording of it.

Here's a link to a sound clip of the guitar. The recording method is in the description.

Beautiful!!

Any problems with sympathetic vibrations of the strings below the bridge?

How does it project to an audience?

Any provision for access to the bridge plate area other than the sound port? Would fitting a K&K style pickup be difficult?

Bridge is glued right?

Thanks

Used to be a Taylor site, I believe.
You have to post in custom builds. I quit the forum because there used to be 2-3 compulsive posters with too many $$$ showing off their latest and greatest guitars ever built. They dominated the board with way too much squak and not enough talent to speak about instruments, beyond "It's the best guitar ever made". They were also able to steer the style of guitars being built because of their status as "Big Buck Posters". There were some nice folks over there though...
