Another guitar is headed to its new owner. This one was a nylon stringed 14 fret that plays and feels like a steel string. The new owner will be using it as a gigging guitar, so I installed a LR Baggs Stagepro Anthem system in it, and Its a great sounding pickup.

Guitar Specs:

Top: Curly Redwood (RC Tonewood)
B&S: EIRW (RC Tonewood)
Neck: Spanish Cedar (RC Tonewood)
Bracing: 1937 Herman Hauser (Adapted to my Session model shape)
Inlay: Dragonfly (Myrtlewood, Koa, & Abalone) all hand made by me.

Very tasty!

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Absolutely beautiful, Chris. Can you say more about the finish? The top really glows under your lighting.

It's shiny, has a cool dragonfly, and looks like a guitar.
A success!
I really like the bridge.
The nitro looks great...

Nicely done! And a very interesting choice of using nearly all steel string "look" to a nylon string guitar.

Very nice!!! What did you use for fingerboard widths @ the nut and 12th?

Planning a crossover Nylon myself and just curious?

Kerry
