We are having a Fretting Class today here at Ann Arbor Guitars and as is the tradition... though out the day I post pics and make stupid comments....:) Tomorrow is our set-up class and I will start a thread for that class tomorrow.

We have three OLFers here today and one client of ours from the area. Olfers Greg S., Steve S., Alex K., and our local pal Bill N. will be pictured in the pics and I will identify them when I have the opportunity.

It's always the best of times for me personally getting to meet OLFers especially some of these guys who I have been friends with for years now but we have never met in person until yesterday.

OK here are some initial pics with comments... and I will be adding pics all day for your viewing pleasure...:)

Right now Dave is discussing neck geometry, relief, truss rods and how the various ones work (or don't...), etc.

Many thanks to Hesh and David for doing these classes! My expectations for this class were pretty high, knowing the skills that David and Hesh have, but those expectations were absolutely left in the dust!
Having very little lutherie experience, my intention was to learn correct fretting skills before I had to unlearn what I thought to be right. I don't know if my guitars are going to be any good, but the fretboards and frets will be top notch, because of this class!
It was great to meet two other OLF'ers, Steve and Greg, from Tennessee. You couldn't hope to meet two nicer guys!
I can't over state David's skills. His ability to not only teach us the techniques involved, but to explain all the reasoning behind them, made this such a great experience. We learned so many other things, aside from the fretting, that made this worth while. My beater guitar now has top notch fret job!
Looking forward to doing the set-up class, some time in the future!

Alex
