Here is the latest Luthier Tips du Jour video - In this video I talk about how to level and seal rosettes before finishing.

It really is amazing how that stuff travels. I've never had anything like it happen to me except for last week when I glued my finger to the back of the guitar neck. I still have no idea how the glue traveled down there.

For that I use CA too, but I apply medium viscosity and then, just after the glue is put on the pores, I spread some wooddust from the same wood of the rosette so that the glue gets caught quickly by the dust and it dries faster, without spreading into the end grain (which is a PITA...)

The stewmac brush on CA works real great for this task, http://www.stewmac.com/Materials_and_Supplies/Glues_and_Adhesives/Glues/StewMac_Super_Glues/StewMac_Brush-on_Super_Glue.html it is medium thick and with the brush easy to apply only where it is needed.

Doesn't LMI partner with Robbie to make these videos? Saying what product he is using and where to get it seems reasonable for a great series of free how to videos. Just sayin'.
